ASRock announced new system management software designed to work alongside their existing AIoT controllers.
ASRock announced the release of AiSMA (ASRock Industrial System Management Architecture), a new management framework built using DMTF’s Redfish standard.
AiSMA is designed to support ASRock’s existing product line of AIoT controllers. For those already on ASRock’s network of products, this will be a source of in-house support. This software gives users an out-of-the-box solution for managing their factory’s servers at scale.
Alongside basic features such as real-time remote monitoring of components, out-of-band management modules, and a robust event log system, AiSMA also offers automated management of system settings, including NTP/time synchronization, firewall configurations, asset tagging, software, firmware inventory, and system updates, enhancing operational efficiency. The software also supports IEC 62443-4-2 cybersecurity compliance.
ASRock has emphasized using well-established, commonly used internet protocols and development tools for AiSMA. By working inside widely recognized tools such as Redfish, they have developed a system meant to work easily and with minimal re-training for experienced industry professionals.
“By combining Redfish compliance with comprehensive lifecycle controls, AiSMA empowers organizations to strengthen their cybersecurity posture, ensure fleet-wide consistency, and operate with confidence in increasingly complex automation and control environments,” the company said in an official press release.
AiSMA is also a sign of ASRock’s commitment to supporting their products rather than leaving their customers in the wind to navigate these issues themselves. Developing supplemental, value-added products where necessary is a healthy signal that the company intends to listen to and support their customer base.
